The 1555F2F17GY is a rectangular, low-profile polycarbonate enclosure in the 1555F Series with a flanged base for wall mounting. It is aimed at integrators and OEM designers placing boards or DIN rail devices outdoors or in harsh industrial areas, including security, outdoor wireless and control applications.
The UV stabilized polycarbonate carries a UL94-5VA flame rating and the enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. It has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and to NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating temperature of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Without flanges the body is 4.72 x 3.54 x 1.50 in (120 x 90 x 38 mm); the part page lists 119 x 91 x 37 mm and the drawing shows 160.79 mm overall across the flanges and a 37.71 mm assembly height. Inner depths are 17.70 mm in the base and 12.00 mm in the lid. The lid has molded DIN rail tabs, and standoffs for #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100) hold a PC board up to 76 x 108 mm or the 1555FFPL galvanized steel inner panel.
A preformed silicone gasket, supplied loose, seals the two-piece tongue and groove joint, and four included M4 stainless steel screws fasten into corrosion resistant inserts behind the lid (2.5 lbf-in / 30 cN-m recommended). The 1555F2F17GY is RoHS and REACH compliant and weighs 0.38 lbs (0.17 kg) shrink wrapped.
