Hammond 1555EF42GY 90x90x63mm ABS Flanged IP66 Watertight Enclosure

The 1555EF42GY is the deep, 63 mm tall version of the square 90 x 90 mm ABS enclosure in the 1555F Series. It gives OEM engineers and electricians a gasketed, wall-mountable housing with extra internal height for relays, terminal blocks or taller board components in indoor applications.

Construction is general purpose ABS with a UL94-HB flammability rating and a satin RAL7035 grey finish. The ABS version is not UL listed but has been tested to and meets IP66, and it carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. Hammond recommends an operating temperature of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).

Per the series ordering table the body is 3.54 x 3.54 x 2.48 in (90 x 90 x 63 mm) without flanges; the drawing shows a 62.50 mm assembly height, a 42.38 mm inner base depth, a 12.50 mm inner lid depth and 130.00 mm overall across the flanges. The part page size field lists 90 x 90 x 38 mm. DIN rail tabs are molded into the lid, and standoffs accept #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100) for a PC board up to 78 x 78 mm or the 1555EFPL steel inner panel.

The purchased 1555EF42GY includes the box, flanged lid, four M4 stainless cover screws and a loose preformed silicone gasket. The screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts behind the lid; recommended torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg).
