Hammond 1555BF22GY 65 x 65 x 42 mm Flanged ABS Watertight Enclosure

The 1555BF22GY is a 65 x 65 x 42 mm (2.56 x 2.56 x 1.67 in) general purpose ABS enclosure with a flanged base, from the 1555F series. The series table lists it at 43 mm high not including flanges, and the drawing shows 105.00 mm overall length across the flanges, which carry four 5.00 mm wall mounting holes. It is a neat indoor housing for small circuit boards, interface modules and DIN rail components.

ABS versions are molded from general purpose material rated UL94 HB and are intended for indoor use. They are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, and have a recommended operating temperature of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).

The lid is secured by four included M4 stainless steel machine screws located behind the lid, threaded into corrosion resistant inserts for repeated assembly and disassembly; the drawing recommends 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). A two-piece tongue and groove seal with a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, supplied loose, protects against oil, dust and water. The satin RAL7035 lid has a 2.00 mm recess for a membrane keypad or label.

The drawing gives 33.38 mm inner box depth and 12.50 mm inner lid depth. DIN rail tabs are molded into the lid and standoffs accept #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100). Maximum P.C. board size is 54 x 54 mm, the same as the optional 1555BFPL steel inner panel. The 1555BF22GY is RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg). Its UL listed polycarbonate twin is 1555B2F22GY.
