Hammond 1555AF22GY 52 x 50 x 40 mm Flanged ABS Watertight Enclosure

The 1555AF22GY is a compact general purpose ABS enclosure from the 1555F flanged series, sized 52 x 50 x 40 mm (2.05 x 1.97 x 1.57 in) without flanges. Its base flanges extend the overall length to 84.00 mm on the drawing and carry four 4.00 mm holes for wall mounting. It suits indoor sensor, interface or small control boards that need a sealed, tidy housing.

The lid has a smooth recessed surface for a membrane keypad or label and a satin RAL7035 grey finish. Two included M4 stainless steel machine screws, positioned behind the lid, thread into corrosion resistant inserts for repeated opening; the drawing recommends 85-92 ozf-in (60-65 cN-m). A two-piece tongue and groove joint with a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, supplied loose, protects against oil, dust and water.

ABS versions use general purpose material rated UL94 HB and are for indoor use. They are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and are recommended for -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). For outdoor use or a UL listing, the polycarbonate 1555A2F22GY is the equivalent.

Internally the 1555AF22GY has DIN rail tabs molded into the lid and standoffs for #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100); the drawing gives 20.00 mm box depth and 11.90 mm lid depth. It accepts P.C. boards up to 41 x 40.5 mm or the optional 1555AFPL steel inner panel. RoHS and REACH compliant; shipping weight 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg).
