With a smoked polycarbonate lid over a light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate base, the 1554VAL2GYSL gives a tinted view of internal displays and indicators while keeping out oil, dust and water. It is aimed at electronics designers, panel shops and field installers building compact sealed assemblies.
Outside dimensions are 240 x 160 x 60 mm (9.45 x 6.30 x 2.36 in); inside the drawing shows 232.35 x 152.35 x 53.30 mm. PC boards up to 145.5 x 226.82 mm can be mounted using molded card guides for 1.5 mm boards, M3 brass inserts or #6 self-tapping standoffs, and molded tabs take DIN rail. The 1554VAPL steel inner panel is sold separately.
Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, and independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The smoked lid is rated UL94 V-0. Impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, with a recommended operating temperature of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The lid is held by six included self-captivating stainless steel M4 screws in corrosion resistant inserts, torqued to 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m), and seals on a replaceable one piece silicone gasket shipped loose in the box. Four 4.50 mm holes outside the gasket channel serve wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554VAL2GYSL ships shrink wrapped at 1.14 lbs (0.52 kg), RoHS and REACH compliant.
