The 1554VAL2GY is a low-profile, screw cover watertight enclosure molded from UV stabilized polycarbonate in light gray (RAL 7035), with a matching gray polycarbonate lid. It is built for OEM engineers, panel builders and integrators who need to house printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components indoors or outdoors.
Overall size is 240 x 160 x 60 mm (9.45 x 6.30 x 2.36 in), with inside dimensions of 232.35 x 152.35 x 53.30 mm. Boards up to 145.5 mm by 226.82 mm fit inside, and the box has molded DIN rail tabs, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards, M3 brass inserts and standoffs that accept #6 self-tapping screws. An optional 1554VAPL steel inner panel is ordered separately.
The gasketed lid uses two piece tongue and groove construction and closes with six included stainless steel M4 screws that thread into corrosion resistant inserts. The screws are self-captivating, and the recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). The one piece, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket ships loose inside the box for you to fit.
This gray polycarbonate version carries a UL94 5VA flame rating, is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, and has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021 and the recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Four 4.50 mm wall mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554VAL2GY ships shrink wrapped at 1.14 lbs (0.52 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
