Hammond 1554MPB15A 15-Hole Deep 22.5mm Polycarbonate Pushbutton Box

The 1554MPB15A is the deeper version of the 15-hole 22.5 mm pushbutton enclosure, built on the 1554XA body. At 4.72 in (120 mm) deep with lid, it adds 30 mm over the 1554MPB15, giving more space for contact blocks, terminals and DIN rail devices behind a large operator panel. It is aimed at OEMs and system integrators building sealed multi-function stations.

Overall size is 11.81 in H x 7.87 in W x 4.72 in D (300 x 200 x 120 mm), and shipping weight is 2.86 lbs (1.30 kg). The 1554XPL galvanized 16 ga. steel inner panel (11.22 x 7.28 in, 285 x 185 mm) is an optional add-on with mounting hardware, as are 1554FT mounting feet. This size is offered with 22 mm holes only; the ordering table lists no 30.5 mm equivalent.

The enclosure is light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate with a UL94 5VA rating and is suitable for outdoor use. The lid and mounting holes are outside the gasket seal, and six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into integral stainless steel bushings; recommended torque is 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m). A preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone gasket is replaceable. Inside, the base provides DIN rail mounting tabs, M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards.

Ratings for the series are IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and the drawing shows the cUL US Listed mark (E65324) with UL 508A approval for the polycarbonate version. The 1554MPB15A ships with box, lid, 6 cover screws and gasket, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
