Hammond 1554K2GY 160x90x90 mm Gray Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1554K2GY is a solid gray polycarbonate watertight enclosure measuring 6.3 x 3.5 x 3.5 in (160 x 89 x 89 mm), with a 3.58 in (91 mm) total height in the series ordering table. It is built for electricians, integrators and OEMs who need a compact outdoor-capable housing for circuit boards or DIN rail hardware.

The polycarbonate is UV stabilized for outdoor use and, in solid gray, carries a UL94 5VA flame rating. The series is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The part page lists IP68, an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 applies, and the recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

The flat lid seals with two piece tongue and groove construction and a replaceable high temperature silicone gasket that ships loose. Four included M4 stainless steel screws are self-captivating and seat in corrosion resistant bushings; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).

Inside you get 152.13 x 78.13 x 84.50 mm of space, molded DIN rail tabs, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards and M3 brass inserts that accept #6 self-tapping screws. The 1554JPL steel inner panel is ordered separately, and the wall-mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.66 lbs (0.30 kg); RoHS and REACH compliant.
