The 1554JL2GYCL is a low-height 160 x 90 x 46 mm enclosure with a RAL 7035 light gray polycarbonate box and a clear polycarbonate lid. The see-through cover keeps displays, status LEDs and wiring visible, which helps with inspection of compact field electronics.
Clear lids in the 1554 Series are rated UL94V-0. The polycarbonate construction is UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324, and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. An IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating temperature of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F) apply.
Inside there is approximately 153.09 x 77.00 x 39.45 mm of space, and PC boards up to 77.47 x 147.32 mm fit. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and vertical guides for 1.5 mm boards are provided; the 1554JPL steel inner panel is ordered separately.
The lid seals with tongue and groove construction and a loose-supplied one-piece silicone gasket, and closes with four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws into corrosion resistant bushings (43-57 ozf-in / 30-40 cN-m recommended). Shipping weight is 0.44 lbs (0.20 kg).
