The 1554JL2GY is the shorter version of the 1554J: a 160 x 90 mm solid gray polycarbonate enclosure that stands 46 mm tall (45 mm on the part page). It is a good fit for slim circuit boards, radio modules and compact controls that must be sealed against the weather.
Solid gray polycarbonate in this series carries a UL94-5VA rating, and the enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324. It is UV stabilized for outdoor use and has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021; recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Inside dimensions on the drawing are roughly 153.09 x 77.00 x 39.45 mm, and the maximum PC board is 77.47 x 147.32 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical guides for 1.5 mm boards handle internal mounting; the 1554JPL steel inner panel is available separately.
Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws close the tongue and groove lid onto a one-piece silicone gasket, supplied loose, and thread into corrosion resistant bushings. The 4.30 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also fit the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554JL2GY ships at 0.44 lbs (0.20 kg).
