The 1553WDGASKET supplies two pre-formed silicone gaskets for the 1553WD size of water-tight hand-held enclosures, the 147 mm x 90 mm x 25 mm cases sold as 1553WDBK (black) and 1553WDGY (grey). Keep a pack on hand for field repairs, rework, or refurbishing products built in these enclosures.
Each silicone gasket measures 5.63 in x 3.36 in x 0.05 in (143 mm x 85 mm x 1 mm) and the part is rated IP65, the same level the 1553W series is designed to meet. The gasket fits the enclosure's channel, and the series design places the assembly screws outside that channel so the seal line stays uninterrupted.
1553WD enclosures close with black stainless steel machine screws threaded into brass bushings, intended for repetitive assembly and disassembly. When the cover screws also need replacing, the series lists SC1553WB100BK (100-pack, black stainless steel) for sizes B and D.
The 1553WDGASKET is REACH and RoHS compliant, packed in a bag, and ships at 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg). It is sized only for the 1553WD enclosures, whose listed total depth is 0.98 in (25 mm); the 1553WC size uses a different gasket, 1553WCGASKET.
