The 1553WCGASKET is a 2-pack of replacement silicone gaskets for the 1553WC size of water-tight hand-held enclosures. It is intended for service technicians and product builders who need to restore the seal on a 1553WCBK (black) or 1553WCGY (grey) case after the enclosure has been opened, reworked or refurbished.
Each gasket is pre-formed from silicone and measures 4.44 in x 2.93 in x 0.07 in (113 mm x 74 mm x 2 mm). The part carries an IP65 rating, matching the protection level the 1553W series is designed to meet. The mating 1553WC enclosures measure 4.61 in (117 mm) long, 3.11 in (79 mm) wide and 1.26 in (32 mm) in total depth.
In the 1553W design, the gasket sits in a channel with the assembly screws located outside that channel, and the enclosure halves are held together with black stainless steel machine screws threaded into brass bushings for repeated opening. If you are replacing hardware at the same time, the series lists SC1553WC100BK as the replacement assembly screw for size C.
The 1553WCGASKET is REACH and RoHS compliant, is supplied in a bag, and has a shipping weight of 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg). It is only intended for the 1553WC size; the 1553WD size uses 1553WDGASKET.
