The 1553CXGY is the grey, dual end panel version of the size C 1553 Series soft-sided handheld enclosure. The grey ABS body and grey overmold carry end panels at both ends, giving room for cable entries, connectors or switches front and rear on handheld equipment.
Molded from general purpose ABS plastic and rated IP54, the enclosure has a recessed top cover for a membrane display or keypad and PC board standoffs molded into the case. Mounting bosses inside the bottom accept #4 self-tapping screws.
Overall size is 117 x 79 x 32 mm (4.61 x 3.11 x 1.26 in), listed nominally as 117 x 79 x 33 mm. It accepts a PC board up to 108 mm x 69 mm (4.25 x 2.72 in), shown on the drawing as 108.00 x 68.74 mm.
The 1553CXGY ships with the top, bottom, 2 plastic end panels and 4 cover screws; no PC board is supplied. Grey 1553 enclosures use nickel plated screws, with SC1553C100 as the replacement lid screw pack. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m), and solid models are offered in .stp or .x_t.
It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a bag at 0.15 lbs (0.07 kg).
