The 1553CXBK is the dual end panel version of the size C 1553 Series handheld enclosure, in black ABS with a grey soft plastic overmold. With plastic end panels at both ends, it suits handheld designs that need connectors, cables or controls at each end, such as inline controllers and portable interface boxes.
The case is molded from general purpose ABS plastic and is rated IP54. The top cover is recessed for a membrane display or keypad, and PCB standoffs are molded into the case; the drawing shows bosses inside the bottom that accept #4 self-tapping screws.
Overall dimensions are 117 x 79 x 32 mm (4.61 x 3.11 x 1.26 in), with a nominal listed size of 117 x 79 x 33 mm. The maximum PC board is 108 mm x 69 mm (4.25 x 2.72 in); the drawing gives 108.00 x 68.74 mm.
The 1553CXBK comes with the top, bottom, 2 plastic end panels and 4 cover screws; the PC board is not supplied. Replacement black lid screws are SC1553C100BK, and the recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Solid models are available in .stp or .x_t format.
RoHS and REACH compliant, it ships bagged at 0.15 lbs (0.07 kg).
