The 1553CGYBAT is the grey-on-grey battery version of the size C 1553 Series handheld enclosure. A light grey ABS body with a grey soft overmold houses a built-in battery compartment, making it a practical choice for portable instruments and controllers that run on AA or 9V cells.
Its battery door and compartment come with 4 battery spring clips for 2x AA batteries plus a 9V (PP3) adapter. The case is molded from general purpose ABS rated UL94 HB, with a recessed top cover for a membrane display or keypad and molded-in PC board standoffs.
Overall size is 117 x 79 x 32 mm (4.61 x 3.11 x 1.26 in), with a nominal listed size of 117 x 79 x 33 mm. Inside, the box is 108.91 mm long and 27.00 mm high, and the maximum PC board is 78 mm x 69 mm (3.07 x 2.72 in).
The 1553CGYBAT is supplied with the top, bottom, front plastic panel, battery door, 4 battery spring clips, 1 9V adapter and 2 cover screws; no PC board is included. Grey 1553 enclosures use nickel plated screws, and the replacement pack is SC1553C100. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m).
RoHS and REACH compliant, it ships in shrink wrap at 0.18 lbs (0.08 kg).
