The 1553BXBK is the dual end panel (2-panel) version of the 1553B soft-sided hand held enclosure, in black ABS with a grey soft overmold. With openings at both ends, it suits handheld devices that need connectors, displays or cable exits at each end, such as inline controllers, dongles and portable interface units.
Overall size is 4.62 x 3.11 x 0.95 in (117 x 79 x 24 mm). The drawing shows an inner box height of 18.50 mm, a 100.69 mm top inlay, and end panels measuring 64.90 x 18.40 mm. The maximum P.C.B. size on the drawing is 104.80 x 70.00 mm (4.13 x 2.76 in), a wider board than the single-panel 1553B, and the bosses accept #4 self-tapping screws. The top cover is recessed for a membrane display or keypad.
The 1553BXBK is molded from general purpose ABS, rated IP54, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. It is packed in a bag and includes top, bottom, 2 plastic end panels and 4 cover screws; the P.C. board is not supplied. Shipping weight is 0.16 lbs (0.07 kg).
Black replacement lid screws are 1593QS100BK (#4 x 3/4 in). PCB screws are ordered as 1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100, and a 1599CLIP belt or pocket clip is available. Recommended cover torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) and .stp or .x_t solid models are offered.
