The 1553BYLBK is a yellow ABS 1553B hand held enclosure with a black soft plastic overmold. The high-contrast colour scheme is well suited to handheld tools and instruments that should be easy to spot on a job site or bench.
The part page lists the size as 4.62 x 3.11 x 0.95 in (117 x 79 x 24 mm). The drawing shows an inner box 110.25 mm long, 71.02 mm wide at the center and 18.50 mm high, with the board aligned on PCB bosses molded into the bottom cover. The series ordering table gives a maximum P.C. board of 4.13 x 2.40 in (105 x 61 mm), and the drawing's board outline is 109.14 x 60.86 mm. The top cover is recessed for a membrane display or keypad.
Molded from general purpose ABS, it is rated IP54 and UL94 HB and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The shrink wrapped assembly includes top, bottom, a removable front plastic panel and 2 cover screws; no P.C. board is supplied. Shipping weight is 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg).
Use black 1593QS100BK screws for lid replacement and 1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100 for mounting the board. Spare yellow end panels are 1553BPLYL-10, and the battery door version in the same colours is 1553BYLBKBAT. Tighten covers to 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m).
