The 1553BTBUBK is the 1553B regular hand held enclosure in translucent blue ABS with a black soft plastic overmold. Its see-through tinted body suits handheld electronics where a distinctive look is wanted, such as consumer gadgets, demo units or indicator devices.
Overall size per the part page is 4.62 x 3.11 x 0.95 in (117 x 79 x 24 mm). The drawing lists an inner box length of 110.25 mm, inner width of 71.02 mm at center and 62.86 mm at the end, and inner height of 18.50 mm. PCB bosses molded into the bottom cover hold a board up to 109 x 70 mm per the part page (105 x 61 mm in the ordering table). The top cover is recessed for a membrane display or keypad.
This enclosure is molded in general purpose ABS, rated IP54 and UL94 HB, and RoHS and REACH compliant. Supplied shrink wrapped with top, bottom, a removable front plastic panel and 2 cover screws; P.C. board not supplied. Shipping weight is 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg).
Replacement lid screws are black 1593QS100BK. Matching translucent blue end panels are sold as 1553BPLTBU-10, and PCB screws (1593ATS50/1593ATS100), a 1599CLIP belt or pocket clip, and a battery door version (1553BTBUBKBAT) are also listed. Cover screw torque: 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m).
