Hammond 1551LTBU 80x40x15mm Translucent Blue Slim ABS Enclosure

The 1551LTBU pairs the slim 80 x 40 x 15 mm body of the 1551L with translucent blue general purpose ABS plastic. It is suited to mounting small printed circuit boards or potting compact assemblies where a tinted, translucent case is preferred over opaque black or grey.

Like the rest of the 1551 series, the enclosure uses lap joint construction between box and lid to protect against dust and splashing water and is designed to meet IP54. The plastic carries a UL94 HB flame rating and the walls are 2 mm (0.08 in) thick.

Outside it measures 3.15 x 1.57 x 0.59 in (80 x 40 x 15 mm) including the lid. The inside space is 75.17 mm long, 35.17 mm wide and 11.00 mm high, with a maximum P.C. board size of 74.50 x 34.50 mm shown on the drawing. Molded standoffs accept #2 self-tapping screws (1551ATS100, not included).

In the bag you get the box, lid and 2 black plated #4 x 1/2 in self-tapping cover screws, black plated being the finish used with blue enclosures; recommended torque is 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). The 1551LTBU is RoHS and REACH compliant with a shipping weight of 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg). Some chemicals, including acetone, ketones and thread-locking compounds, can damage ABS, so check compatibility before use.
