Hammond 1551LFLBK 80x40x15mm Black Flanged-Lid ABS Enclosure, IP54

The 1551LFLBK is a black ABS miniature enclosure whose lid has integrated mounting flanges molded into it. The flanges make it easy to wall mount the box or suspend it with a tie wrap, so it suits installers and OEM engineers who need to fix a small circuit board housing to a surface.

The box body measures 80 x 40 x 15 mm (3.15 x 1.57 x 0.59 in), the length not including the flange. Across the flanges the drawing shows an overall length of 96.30 mm (3.79 in). Inside there is 75.17 x 35.17 mm of floor and 11.00 mm of height, with room for a P.C. board up to 74.50 x 34.50 mm on the molded standoffs.

The enclosure is general purpose ABS plastic in black (RAL 9011), UL94 HB flame rated, with 2 mm (0.08 in) walls. Box and lid meet on a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water, and the design is intended to meet IP54.

Included are the box, flanged lid and 2 black plated #4 x 1/2 in self-tapping cover screws; recommended torque is 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). Board screws (#2 x 3/16 in, 1551ATS100) are sold separately. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships bagged at 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg). A grey version is 1551LFLGY.
