The 1551ATSK is a translucent smoke ABS enclosure in the 35 mm x 20 mm x 15 mm (1.38 in x 0.79 in x 0.61 in) size of the 1551MINI series. The series targets dongles and small printed circuit boards with USB connectors, and the smoke tint gives a darker see-through look than the clear version.
It is molded in ABS with a satin texture finish and a UL94 HB flammability rating, and is designed to meet IP54. The manufacturer's part page lists the type as "Thick wall, water-tight". The cover is recessed with a 0.50 mm [0.02 in] inlay depth for labels.
Inside, molded mounting posts accept #2 x 3/16" self-tapping screws (not included; 1553WTS100, pack of 100). The maximum PC board size is 15.5 mm x 29 mm. Two black #2 x 1/2" self-tapping lid screws are included, with a recommended torque of 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m).
The 1551ATSK is RoHS and REACH compliant, bagged, with a listed shipping weight of 0.01 lbs. Extra black lid screws are 1551USB50BK (pack of 50), and the 1551USB1 series offers this size with a USB-A cutout. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available, and solid models can be had in .stp or .x_t format. As with any ABS enclosure, avoid acetone, ketones, thread-locking compounds, cutting fluids and strong solvents, which can damage the plastic.
