The 1551AGY is a light grey ABS subminiature enclosure, 35 mm x 20 mm x 15 mm (1.38 in x 0.79 in x 0.61 in), from the 1551MINI series. It is sized for dongles and small printed circuit boards with USB connectors and suits engineers who need a neutral-coloured, very compact housing.
The box is molded from general purpose ABS in RAL 7035 grey with a satin texture finish, rated UL94 HB and designed to meet IP54. A recessed cover, with a 0.50 mm [0.02 in] inlay depth, makes label installation straightforward.
- Maximum PC board size: 15.5 mm x 29 mm
- Molded mounting posts accept #2 x 3/16" self-tapping screws (1553WTS100, pack of 100, sold separately)
- Two silver #2 x 1/2" self-tapping lid screws included
- Recommended torque: 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m)
The 1551AGY is RoHS and REACH compliant, bagged, with a listed shipping weight of 0.01 lbs. Replacement silver lid screws are 1551USB50 (pack of 50). A USB-A cutout version of this size is in the 1551USB1 series. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available, and solid models can be had in .stp or .x_t format. As with any ABS enclosure, avoid acetone, ketones, thread-locking compounds, cutting fluids and strong solvents, which can damage the plastic.
