Hammond 1490MJ12 12-Hole 22.5mm Sloped Pushbutton Consolet, Type 12

The 1490MJ12 is a sloped pushbutton consolet punched with 12 holes for 22.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, selector switches and pilot lights. It suits panel builders and electricians who need a compact wall- or surface-mounted control station that presents the operator devices at a comfortable angle, and it is the 22.5 mm counterpart of the 30.5 mm 1490J12.

The body is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams. Depending on how it is mounted, the front cover sits at either a 30° or 60° slope. The cover is internally hinged and removable, designed to stay open while you wire, and it is held closed by captive screws that thread into sealed wells over an oil resistant gasket. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure simplify earthing. Cover and body are phosphatized and powder coated in ANSI 61 gray.

Enclosure size is 11.75 in H x 8.50 in W x 9.00 in D (298 x 216 x 229 mm). The drawing shows a 12.12 x 8.87 in door with 0.89 in pushbutton holes on 2.25 in centers, and 0.25 in mounting holes on the back. Shipping weight is 13 lbs (5.90 kg).

The 1490 series carries UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (UL file E65324) and CSA Type 12 and 13 (LR21001) listings and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, provided appropriate components are installed. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and covered by an EU Low Voltage Directive declaration.
