The 1490H9 is the only H size in the 1490 Series and offers nine 30.5 mm holes in a squarer sloped consolet: 9.50 in H x 8.50 in W x 7.88 in D (241 x 216 x 200 mm). It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and is ideal for wall or surface mounting.
The drawing lists an 8.87 x 9.87 in door, 1.21 in pushbutton holes on 2.25 in centres, and 0.25 in mounting holes in the welded brackets. Depending on mounting position the front cover provides either a 30° or 60° slope.
Built from formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, the enclosure has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold open during wiring. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells over an oil resistant gasket and adhesive to protect against dirt, dust, oil and water. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder coated ANSI 61 gray, and a bonding stud (door) and grounding stud (enclosure) are provided.
Ratings are UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, with compliance to NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are used. The 1490H9 ships at 10 lbs (4.54 kg). The 22.5 mm version is 1490MH9.
