Six 30.5 mm positions make the 1490G6 a practical control station for a small machine that needs a mix of pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. This 1490 Series sloped consolet is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight devices and is ideal for wall or surface mounting to present controls at an angle.
It measures 7.25 in H x 8.50 in W x 6.75 in D (184 x 216 x 171 mm). The drawing specifies an 8.87 x 7.62 in door, 1.21 in holes on 2.25 in centres, and 0.25 in mounting holes. Mounting the enclosure one way or the other gives a 30° or 60° slope on the front cover.
An internally hinged removable cover is designed to stay open during wiring, then closes with captive cover screws that thread into sealed wells. The body is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive; the finish is phosphatized steel with ANSI 61 gray powder coating. Bonding (door) and grounding (enclosure) studs are included.
The 1490G6 is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 rated, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP54 with appropriate components. It ships at 7 lbs (3.18 kg). For 22.5 mm operators, order 1490MG6.
