Hammond 1486G48SS 12x12x48-Inch Type 4X Stainless Steel Trough

The 1486G48SS is a four-foot Type 4X wiring trough with a 12 in x 12 in cross-section, from the 1486SS Series. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection, for larger distribution and machine wiring jobs.

Construction is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. The butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated screw clamps against oil resistant gaskets that are permanently secured. The natural stainless steel trough and cover have a smooth brushed finish.

The trough measures 12 in x 12 in x 48 in (305 mm x 305 mm x 1,219 mm). On the drawing the opening is 46.73 in, the door 48.38 in and the side-view overall height 13.50 in. Shipping weight is 62 lbs (28.12 kg).

Twelve gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back, and the drawing shows 0.31 in holes spaced 12.75 in across and 46.75 in along the length. Approvals are UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4, 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, 4X (UL File E186830, CSA Cert. LL21312). The trough complies with NEMA Type 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
