The 1486G24 is a 12 in x 12 in x 24 in (305 mm x 305 mm x 610 mm) Type 4/12 wiring trough with the 12.00 in cross-section, the largest listed in the 1486 Series ordering table. It gives panel builders and electricians generous room to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water.
The trough is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, and trough and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. The butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated stainless steel screw clamps and seals on permanently secured, oil resistant gaskets.
Drawing dimensions: 22.73 in top opening, 11.25 in side opening, and a door 24.38 in long and 11.25 in, providing 22.73 in x 10.73 in of clear space available on the door. The 0.31 in mounting holes are spaced 22.75 in lengthwise and 12.75 in across.
The 12 gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back, giving a 13.50 in overall width across the feet. Shipping weight is 50 lbs (22.68 kg).
