Hammond 1486E24SS 8x8x24-Inch Stainless Type 4X Wiring Trough

The 1486E24SS gives an 8 in x 8 in cross-section over a 24 in length. This 1486SS Series Type 4X wiring trough is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection, for panel builders and electricians handling larger conductor bundles.

It is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. The butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated screw clamps, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Trough and cover are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.

The trough measures 8 in x 8 in x 24 in (203 mm x 203 mm x 610 mm). The drawing shows a 22.73 in opening, a 24.38 in door and a 9.50 in side-view overall height. Shipping weight is 24 lbs (10.89 kg).

Twelve gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back; the drawing places 0.31 in holes 8.69 in apart across and 22.75 in apart along the length. It is listed to UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4, 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, 4X under UL File E186830 and CSA Cert. LL21312, complies with NEMA Type 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
