Hammond 1486D18SS 6x6x18-Inch Stainless Type 4X Wiring Trough

At 18 in long with a 6 in square cross-section, the 1486D18SS Type 4X wiring trough gives more conductor space than the 4 x 4 sizes in a short, stainless package. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection.

The trough is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. Its butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated screw clamps, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The natural stainless steel trough and cover have a smooth brushed finish.

Dimensions are 6 in x 6 in x 18 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 457 mm). The drawing shows a 17.21 in opening, an 18.38 in door and a 7.50 in side-view overall height; it ships at 19 lbs (8.62 kg).

Twelve gauge external mounting feet welded to the back carry 0.31 in holes, spaced 6.69 in across and 16.75 in along the length per the drawing. It is listed to UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4 and 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4 and 4X (UL File E186830, CSA Cert. LL21312), complies with NEMA Type 12, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, and is marked REACH and RoHS compliant.
