Hammond 1486D12SS 6x6x12-Inch Type 4X Stainless Wiring Trough

The 1486D12SS is a short 6 in x 6 in x 12 in Type 4X wiring trough, the one-foot length of the 6 x 6 sizes in the 1486SS Series. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection, and its compact length suits a junction point where a larger cross-section is needed over a short span.

Formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams gives the body its strength. A butt hinged cover closes with easily operated screw clamps onto permanently secured oil resistant gaskets. The finish is natural stainless steel, smooth brushed, on both trough and cover.

It measures 6 in x 6 in x 12 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 305 mm). The drawing lists an 11.21 in opening, a 12.38 in door and a 7.50 in side-view overall height. Shipping weight is 11 lbs (4.99 kg).

Twelve gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back; on the drawing the 0.31 in mounting holes are spaced 6.69 in across and 10.75 in along the length. It is listed to UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4 and 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4 and 4X (UL File E186830, CSA Cert. LL21312), complies with NEMA Type 12, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, and is marked REACH and RoHS compliant.
