Hammond 1485BM1 1 Inch Nipple for 2.5x2.5 NEMA 12 Wireway

The Hammond 1485BM1 is a 1" nipple for 2.5 x 2.5 N12 wireway, part of the 1485 M Series. It is a short connecting section for integrators and electricians who need to close a small gap between wireway components or enclosures in a lay-in wireway system.

The nipple is steel with a gray finish. Per the part drawing it has a 3.88 in square end flange, a 3.13 in body, a 2.36 in inside opening and a 0.99 in length, with 0.28 in diameter mounting holes. One flat sealing plate is included.

An important application note from the series: lay-in nipples come with a special sealing plate which cannot be used adjacent to swivel nipples. Where a swivel nipple is involved, the manufacturer directs you to the 1487 Series nipples instead.
