Hammond 1472-48T 48-Inch Sloped Instrument Turret for Modular Console

The 1472-48T is the 48 in wide turret in the 1472 Series Type 12 modular console cabinet system. It sits on top of the base console to add a second sloping instrument panel across the full width, giving room for more operator controls, meters or instrumentation on large consoles that house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.

Construction is formed and welded 14 gauge steel. The sloping instrument panel and the vertical rear access are both completely removable, secured with captive panel screws that fasten into sealed wells. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating on the outside and inside to match the rest of the series.

The ordering table lists H 20.00 in (508 mm), W 48.00 in (1219 mm), D1 10.00 in (254 mm) and D2 6.00 in (152 mm). On the drawing, the rear access door is 44.19 in by 16.31 in, and the bottom has six Ø0.31 in mounting holes, compared with four on the narrower turrets. The 1472-48T ships in a box at 80 lbs (36.29 kg).

This turret matches the 48.00 in width of the 2-door 1472-48 base console, and a 1472-48W writing surface is available in the same width. The 1472 Series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP65. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
