Hammond 1472-48 48-Inch Two-Door Type 12 Modular Base Console

The 1472-48 is the widest base console in the 1472 Series Type 12 modular console cabinet line and the only 2-door version. At 48 in wide, it is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments behind a sloping front control and instrument panel, with heavy-duty construction that protects against dirt, dust, oil and water. The ordering table marks it as UL Listed.

The console is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Its sloped instrument panel is continuously hinged on the front (bottom) edge, fastened with captive panel screws in sealed wells, and removable by pulling the hinge pin. The two flush front doors overlap, with a three point latch on the right door operated by a key locking automotive type handle. Oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured, and the finish is phosphatized ANSI 61 gray powder coating inside and outside.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP65. Bonding and grounding studs are provided for each door, along with a literature pocket. Matching 48 in accessories are the 1472-48T turret and 1472-48W writing surface. The console is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships on a skid at 232 lbs (105.23 kg).
