Hammond 1472-36 36-Inch Type 12 Modular Sloped Front Base Console

The 1472-36 is the 36 in wide base console in the 1472 Series Type 12 modular console cabinet line. Designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, it offers a sloping front control and instrument panel as the working surface for operator controls, and a heavy-duty body that protects against dirt, dust, oil and water. The ordering table marks this base console as UL Listed.

It is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The sloped instrument panel is continuously hinged on its front (bottom) edge, secured with captive panel screws in sealed wells, and removable by pulling the hinge pin. A flush door is secured by a three point latch with a key locking automotive type handle, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The finish is phosphatized ANSI 61 gray powder coating inside and out.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP65. A bonding stud, a grounding stud and a literature pocket are provided. Matching 36 in accessories are the 1472-36T turret and 1472-36W writing surface. The console is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships on a skid at 188 lbs (85.28 kg).
