Hammond 1472-24 24-Inch Type 12 Modular Sloped Front Base Console

The 1472-24 is the 24 in wide base console of the 1472 Series Type 12 modular console cabinet system. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, with a sloping front instrument panel that provides a surface for operator controls or instrumentation. The heavy-duty construction protects equipment from dirt, dust, oil and water, and the ordering table marks this base console as UL Listed.

The console is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The sloped instrument panel is continuously hinged on its front (bottom) edge, secured with captive panel screws threaded into sealed wells, and removable by pulling the hinge pin. A flush door is secured with a three point latch operated by a key locking automotive type handle, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Finish is phosphatized ANSI 61 gray powder coating inside and out.

Ordering table dimensions are H1 36.00 in (914 mm), H2 40.00 in (1016 mm), W 24.00 in (610 mm), D1 17.00 in (432 mm) and D2 20.00 in (508 mm). A removable 12 gauge inner panel, 18.75 in x 27.25 in (476 mm x 692 mm) and finished in white, mounts on collar studs at the back of the interior. The drawing shows a 20.00 in by 28.69 in door with an 18.64 in by 27.72 in opening.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP65. A bonding stud, grounding stud and literature pocket are provided. Matching accessories for this width are the 1472-24T turret and 1472-24W writing surface. The console is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships on a skid at 128 lbs (58.06 kg).
