Hammond 1472-24T 24-Inch Sloped Instrument Turret for Modular Console

The 1472-24T is the 24 in wide turret for the 1472 Series Type 12 modular console cabinet system. It adds a second sloping instrument panel above the base console, giving extra surface for operator controls or instrumentation on consoles that house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.

The turret is formed and welded from 14 gauge steel. Both its sloping instrument panel and its vertical rear access are completely removable, and captive panel screws fasten into sealed wells. Like the rest of the series, cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating inside and out.

The ordering table gives the turret dimensions as H 16.00 in (406 mm), W 24.00 in (610 mm), D1 5.00 in (127 mm) and D2 3.00 in (76 mm). Its drawing shows four Ø0.31 in mounting holes in the bottom and a 20.19 in by 12.31 in rear access door. The 1472-24T ships in a box at 34 lbs (15.42 kg).

The 1472 Series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP65. This turret matches the 24 in width of the 1472-24 base console, and a 1472-24W writing surface is also offered in the same width. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
