Hammond 1455T1602 165 x 160 mm Clear Aluminum Enclosure, Plastic Ends

The 1455T1602 is a clear anodized extruded aluminum enclosure from the 1455 Series, built to house PC boards or equipment interfacing electronics. It is the plastic end panel version of the 160 mm long, 165 mm wide T-size body, and suits OEM engineers and electronics builders who need a compact, rugged case for a board up to 159.5 mm long and 159 mm wide.

The body is extruded from 6063 aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm) and finished in clear anodize. PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the enclosure, and the extrusion is designed for a 160 mm wide board. This size is listed among the enclosures with a removable sliding plate. Both ends are closed with black plastic end panels made of ABS, and the part page lists an IP54 rating.

Nominal size is 6.3 in x 6.5 in x 2.05 in (160 mm x 165 mm x 52 mm); the drawing shows an extrusion length of 160.00 ±0.50 mm, width of 165.00 mm and height of 51.50 mm. Shipping weight is 1.19 lbs (0.54 kg).

Each 1455T1602 ships shrink wrapped as a complete enclosure with four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive; clear versions use natural screws, and the recommended torque is 5 lbf-in. The enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in STEP or IGES. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
