Hammond 1455T1602BK 165 x 160 mm Black Anodized Enclosure, Plastic Ends

The 1455T1602BK is the black anodized version of the 1455 Series T-size enclosure with plastic end panels. At 160 mm long and 165 mm wide, it gives integrators and OEM designers a finished black aluminum case for PC boards or equipment interfacing circuits, taking boards up to 159.5 mm long by 159 mm wide.

Its body is extruded from 6063 aluminum with a minimum wall of 0.06 in (1.5 mm), then black anodized. Boards mount horizontally, sliding into slots extruded inside the body, and the profile is designed around a 160 mm wide PC board. This size belongs to the group of enclosures that include a removable sliding plate. The ends are sealed with black ABS closed end panels, and the manufacturer lists an IP54 rating.

Nominal dimensions are 6.3 in x 6.5 in x 2.05 in (160 mm x 165 mm x 52 mm). On the drawing the extrusion measures 160.00 ±0.50 mm long, 165.00 mm wide and 51.50 mm high. The unit ships shrink wrapped at 1.19 lbs (0.54 kg).

Included with the 1455T1602BK are four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive; black anodized versions include black screws, torqued to a recommended 5 lbf-in. Factory modification such as milling, drilling and printing is offered, STEP and IGES models are available, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
