Hammond 1455K1601BK 160x78x43mm Black Aluminum Enclosure, Metal Ends

The 1455K1601BK is a black anodized extruded aluminum PC board enclosure with metal end panels, sized 160 x 78 x 43 mm. It suits builders of interface modules and instruments who need room for a board up to 159 mm long in a black aluminum housing.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm), finished in black anodized aluminum. It measures 6.3 in x 3.07 in x 1.69 in (160 mm x 78 mm x 43 mm), with the drawing showing a 160.00 ±0.50 mm length, 78.00 mm extrusion width and 43.02 mm height. Printed circuit boards up to 159 mm long and 74 mm wide mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body, and the enclosure includes a removable sliding plate.

Each enclosure includes two flat aluminum end panels, color matched to the housing, and two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive in a black finish. Tighten end panel screws to the recommended 5 lbf-in. Replacement feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24) and replacement screws are 1455MS100BK (quantity 100).

With an IP54 rating and RoHS and REACH compliance, it ships in shrink wrap at 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg). Its plastic end panel counterpart is 1455K1602BK, and black flanged end panels are available as 1455KFBK. Enclosures can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in STEP or IGES.
