Hammond 1455K1601 160x78x43mm Clear Aluminum Enclosure, Metal Ends

The 1455K1601 is a clear anodized extruded aluminum enclosure with metal end panels, measuring 160 x 78 x 43 mm. The longer 160 mm body houses PC boards up to 159 mm long, making it a fit for OEM engineers and integrators building interface or control electronics.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm), finished in clear anodized aluminum. It measures 6.3 in x 3.07 in x 1.69 in (160 mm x 78 mm x 43 mm), with the drawing showing a 160.00 ±0.50 mm length, 78.00 mm extrusion width and 43.02 mm height. Printed circuit boards up to 159 mm long and 74 mm wide mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body, and the enclosure includes a removable sliding plate.

Each enclosure includes two flat aluminum end panels, color matched to the housing, and two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive in a natural finish. Tighten end panel screws to the recommended 5 lbf-in. Replacement feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24) and replacement screws are 1455MS100 (quantity 100).

It is rated IP54 and is RoHS and REACH compliant, shipping in shrink wrap at 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg). The plastic end panel version is 1455K1602, and optional 1455KF flange end panels are shown on the drawing. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available, as are STEP or IGES solid models.
