Hammond 1455K1601BU 160x78x43mm Blue Aluminum Enclosure, Metal Ends

The 1455K1601BU is a 160 x 78 x 43 mm extruded aluminum enclosure in blue anodize with metal end panels. It houses PC boards up to 159 x 74 mm and gives product designers a distinctive blue housing for equipment interfacing.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm), finished in blue anodized aluminum. It measures 6.3 in x 3.07 in x 1.69 in (160 mm x 78 mm x 43 mm), with the drawing showing a 160.00 ±0.50 mm length, 78.00 mm extrusion width and 43.02 mm height. Printed circuit boards up to 159 mm long and 74 mm wide mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body, and the enclosure includes a removable sliding plate.

Each enclosure includes two flat aluminum end panels, color matched to the housing, and two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive in a black finish. Tighten end panel screws to the recommended 5 lbf-in. Replacement feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24) and replacement screws are 1455MS100BK (quantity 100).

The part is IP54 rated, RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in shrink wrap weighing 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg). Extra blue aluminum end panels are available as 1455KALBU-10, and optional 1455KF flange end panels are shown on the drawing. Factory milling, drilling and printing are available, with STEP or IGES solid models.
