The 1444-30 is a 17 in x 10 in x 2 in (432 mm x 254 mm x 51 mm) aluminum chassis, a large, low base for full-width audio components, multi-stage tube amplifiers and electronics that need a big top panel with modest height.
The chassis is spot welded, heavy duty 0.051 in aluminum (0.05 in / 1 mm in the ordering table) in a natural aluminum finish. The protective covering on the aluminum is handy as a layout tool, per the series photo notes.
The drawing lists inner box dimensions of 429.21 mm [16.90 in] long, 251.41 mm [9.90 in] wide and 48.21 mm [1.90 in] high. Shipping weight is 1.41 lbs (0.64 kg).
Bottom plate 1434-30 (natural finish, 0.051 in aluminum, punched with 4 holes of 3/16 in diameter) closes the underside; it is shared across the 17 in x 10 in chassis of different heights. Plated cover screws 1421J6 (package of six 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws) fasten it. All components are sold separately, and the 1451 series steel covers are not compatible.
The 1444-30 is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships in shrink wrap. It can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing, and solid models are available in STEP or IGES.
