The 1444-32 is a 17 in x 10 in x 3 in (432 mm x 254 mm x 76 mm) aluminum chassis. With a full 17 in width and 3 in of height, it offers a large top panel and generous interior height for tube amplifiers and full-size audio components.
It is spot welded, heavy duty construction in 0.051 in aluminum (0.05 in / 1 mm per the ordering table) with a natural aluminum finish. Per the series photo notes, the protective covering on the aluminum can be used as a layout tool.
Inner box dimensions from the drawing are 429.21 mm [16.90 in] long, 251.41 mm [9.90 in] wide and 73.61 mm [2.90 in] high. Shipping weight is 1.68 lbs (0.76 kg).
The same size is available with solid walnut side panels as 1444-32CWW. For the 1444-32, bottom plate 1434-30 (natural finish, 0.051 in aluminum, punched with 4 holes of 3/16 in diameter) and plated cover screws 1421J6 (package of 6, 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping) are sold separately. The 1451 series steel chassis covers are not compatible.
The 1444-32 is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in shrink wrap. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) and STEP or IGES solid models are available.
