The 1444-29 is a 12 in x 10 in x 2 in (305 mm x 254 mm x 51 mm) aluminum chassis. Its near-square, deep footprint gives a large top-panel area, making it suitable for amplifiers, power supplies and larger audio projects.
It is spot welded, heavy duty construction in 0.051 in aluminum (0.05 in / 1 mm per the ordering table) with a natural aluminum finish. The protective covering on the aluminum can serve as a layout tool, per the series photo notes.
The drawing gives an inner box width of 251.41 mm [9.90 in], inner box length of 302.21 mm and inner box height of 48.21 mm [1.90 in]. Shipping weight is 1.07 lbs (0.49 kg).
Close the underside with natural-finish bottom plate 1434-29 (0.051 in aluminum, punched with 4 holes of 3/16 in diameter), fastened by plated cover screws 1421J6 (package of six 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws). All components are sold separately from the 1444-29, and the 1451 series steel chassis covers are not compatible.
The 1444-29 is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in shrink wrap. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available, and STEP or IGES solid models can be supplied.
