Hammond 1437MSSD 4-Hole 22.5mm 304 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1437MSSD is a four-hole, extra deep pushbutton enclosure in 304 stainless steel, sized for 22.5mm operators. As part of the 1437SS Series it is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, and it keeps those devices protected from dirt, dust, oil and water on production lines, pumps and conveyors.

Formed from 16 gauge steel, the body has smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural stainless steel finish with a smooth brushed texture. Captive cover screws fasten into threaded, sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. A bonding stud is fitted on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure. The series states that larger enclosures provide internally hinged removable covers designed to stay open during wiring; only the 1-hole size is marked as not hinged.

This 1437MSSD measures 10 in x 4 in x 4.75 in (254 mm x 102 mm x 121 mm). The drawing shows an 11.00 in overall height, a 10.37 in door height, a 4.97 in overall depth and four Ø0.89 in holes on 2.25 in centres. Welded brackets provide for mounting, with Ø0.25 in holes on 3.13 in x 10.50 in centres. It ships in a box at 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

The series carries UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Enclosure 4 and 4X ratings and complies with NEMA Type 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 when appropriate components are used. UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001 apply; the part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
