The 1437MSSA is the smallest size in the 1437SS Series: a 4 in x 4 in x 4.75 in (102 mm x 102 mm x 121 mm) extra deep enclosure in 304 stainless steel with a single hole for a 22.5mm operator. It is designed to accept a standard heavy duty oil tight pushbutton, switch or pilot light and protects it from dirt, dust, oil and water, which suits single-function stations such as an emergency stop, reset or indicator.
It is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural stainless steel finish with a smooth brushed look. The cover on this 1-hole size is not hinged; it is held by captive cover screws that fasten into threaded, sealed wells, and sealed with an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.
The drawing lists a 4.75 in overall height, a 4.31 in square door, a 4.91 in overall depth and a Ø0.89 in pushbutton hole. Welded brackets provide for mounting, with Ø0.25 in holes on 3.12 in x 4.50 in centres. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg), packed in a box.
