Hammond 1437MS16C 3-Hole 22.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1437MS16C is an extra deep pushbutton enclosure from the 1437SS Series, made in 316 stainless steel and punched for three 22.5mm operators. It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, and gives controls builders, panel shops and maintenance teams a compact station that is protected from dirt, dust, oil and water.

Construction is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams. Captive cover screws fasten into threaded, sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud on the enclosure simplify earthing. The surface is natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.

The enclosure measures 8 in x 4 in x 4.75 in (203 mm x 102 mm x 121 mm). Its drawing shows a 9.00 in overall height, an 8.37 in by 4.37 in door, a 4.91 in overall depth and Ø0.89 in pushbutton holes on 2.25 in centres. Welded brackets provide for mounting, with Ø0.25 in holes on 3.13 in x 8.50 in centres. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

The series is rated UL 508A Type 4 and 4X, CSA Enclosure 4 and 4X, and complies with NEMA Type 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66; appropriate components are required to maintain these ratings. The 1437MS16C is listed under UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
