Hammond 1437MSSC 3-Hole 22.5mm 304 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1437MSSC houses three 22.5mm operators in an extra deep 304 stainless steel enclosure from the 1437SS Series. It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, giving integrators a three-position control station that is protected from dirt, dust, oil and water.

It is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and finished in natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed surface. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and the cover is sealed with an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. The door has a bonding stud and the body has a grounding stud. The series notes that its larger enclosures use internally hinged removable covers that stay open during wiring; only the 1-hole size is footnoted as not hinged.

The enclosure size is 8 in x 4 in x 4.75 in (203 mm x 102 mm x 121 mm). According to its drawing, overall height is 9.00 in, the door is 8.37 in by 4.37 in, overall depth is 4.97 in, and the three Ø0.89 in holes sit on 2.25 in centres. Welded mounting brackets provide Ø0.25 in holes on 3.13 in x 8.50 in centres. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

The series is rated UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Enclosure 4 and 4X and complies with NEMA Type 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, provided appropriate components are used. The 1437MSSC is listed under UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001 and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
