Hammond 1435MA 1-Hole 22.5mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MA is a single-hole Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosure drilled for one 22.5 mm pushbutton, switch or pilot light. The part page lists it at 3.5 x 3.3 x 2.8 in (89 x 84 x 71 mm), and the series table lists the size at 3.50 x 3.25 x 2.75 in. It is a compact one-device station for panels and machines where the operator needs protection from dirt, dust, oil and water.

The enclosure is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating on both cover and enclosure. The cover is not hinged; captive cover screws thread into sealed wells and compress an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are included.

Welded brackets provide for mounting. Per the part drawing, overall height across the brackets is 4.50 in, 0.25 in mounting holes are spaced 4.00 in vertically and 2.38 in horizontally, the door is 3.87 x 3.62 in, and the pushbutton hole is 0.89 in in diameter.

The 1435 Series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54; appropriate components are required to maintain these ratings. The 1435MA carries UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships boxed at 2 lbs (0.91 kg). The 30.5 mm version is 1435A.
