Hammond 1427NCGM25B M25x1.5 Black Nylon Liquid-Tight Cordgrip, IP68

The 1427NCGM25B is a black nylon liquid-tight cordgrip (cable gland) with an M25x1.5 metric thread, used where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure. It suits panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a sealed, strain-relieved cable entry for cables between 13 mm and 18 mm in diameter.

The body is nylon in black (RAL 9005), and sealing is provided by an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal behind a large opening that accepts a wide range of cable diameters. Its strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, gripping the cable without twisting or damaging it. A nylon locknut and an EPDM o-ring are included.

Dimensionally, this size calls for a 0.98 in (25 mm) mounting hole, has an outer length (L) of 1.22 in (31 mm) and an inner thread length (T) of 0.43 in (11 mm). The manufacturer recommends choosing the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that will fit your cable, so the 18 mm upper limit is the figure to check. Suggested torque for M25 is 4–6 N-m on the sealing nut and 2–5 N-m on the locknut, as a guide.

The 1427NCGM25B is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with IP68 protection, is UL listed, carries a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Static operating temperature is -40°C to 100°C (up to 120° instantaneous); dynamic is -20°C to 80°C (up to 100° instantaneous).
